This is contrary to Stardock's normal practice of allowing installation on multiple computers.
It's a beta dude. Chill.
they will change that in time. right now its in beta stage and they have to control just how many computers are connecting to the server at the same time. When the game is released retail it will not have this restriction and it will not require that you have internet access in order to play the game.
I have a new 64-bit version of Windows 7 Pro and would like to test FE Beta out to compare memory usage etc. compared with my 32-bit version of Windows 7 Pro. For the record I currently have 4 GB of RAM. Can I get it to work by copying the C Drive stuff from the 32-bit installation to the new C Drive in Win7 64 bit?
Posting this here since it its relevant to the topic at hand.
Frogboy,
I have and new computer with Windows 7 64bit a i7 2600k cpu and a GTX 580 video card, another computer with Q6600 processor and a GT 8800 video card, and an older computer on an amd processor with a video card that has 256 MB of video memory.
When it is my turn it participate in the beta would it possible for me to get two cd-keys so that I can test the game out on my two newer systems,
If I could get 3 cd-keys that would be even better because then I could test the oldest system I have and let you know how it performs on that system as well.
Signed,
Joshua
After getting into trouble, I discovered that copying the relevant subdirectory in c:\ProgramData is sufficient to reactivate FE.
Strange, I didn't have any trouble installing on both my work and home computers.
I'm sure you did, but just in case... did you double check spelling on email, password, and reg code?
I was able to install on two different computers as well.
It seems as if the Fallen Enchantress beta has disappeared from my page on the Stardock Store website. I think what's happened is that you can only install on multiple systems if you save the key manually. Grrr.
For me it got moved to the bottom. It's still there:
No problem installing on 2 computers here.
